DIRECTIONS TO CASA DE GOUVÃES
FROM OPORTO (NORTH)
– From Porto airport, take the highway A4 direction VILA REAL
– This highway has a 5,6km tunnel. Follow direction VILA REAL – BRAGANÇA
– A few kilometers ahead change to exit 23 VISEU – CHAVES
– Right after take the direction of VISEU – you are now in the A24 highway
– A couple of km ahead take the exit 13 SABROSA – ZONA INDUSTRIAL – AERODROMO
– Turn right and drive under the A24 you have just left behind
– In the roundabout follow direction SABROSA – PARQUE AQUATICO
– Upon arrival at SABROSA, take a right turning, direction PINHÃO
– The road descends sharply through the vineyards and Port wine Quintas
– Pass a white ruin on your right hand side, with QUINTA DO JUNCO written on it
– After crossing a small stone bridge, take a right turning on the blue road sign CASA DE GOUVÃES
– Follow the road uphill
– Once you reach the village of GOUVÃES DO DOURO, the villa is located a further 150 meters on your right hand side: there will be another blue sign CASA DE GOUVÃES
– After parking inside the property, Carla, our local receptionist, will give you a warm welcome.
FROM LISBON (SOUTH)
– From Lisbon airport, take the highway A1 direction North to COIMBRA
– Take IP3 direction VISEU
– Change to highway A24 direction LAMEGO – VILA REAL – CHAVES
– After LAMEGO, you will cross a tunnel and after that take a right turn to ARMAMAR – VALDIGEM
– Right after, follow the direction RÉGUA
– Start descending until you find a roundabout, make the half-tour and continue
– Follow direction PINHÃO – S. J. PESQUEIRA – follow this road with the Douro River on your left side
– After crossing an iron bridge over the Douro river, you will arrive to the village of PINHÃO
– At the end of the village’s main street, turn left direction SABROSA
– Cross an old stone bridge and turn when you see a blue road sign CASA DE GOUVÃES
– Some hundreds of meters ahead turn left when you see the blue sign CASA DE GOUVÃES
– Follow the road uphill
– Once you reach the village of GOUVÃES DO DOURO, the villa is located a further 150 meters on your right hand side: there will be another blue sign CASA DE GOUVÃES
– After parking inside the property, Carla, our local receptionist, will give you a warm welcome.
